The CMWIB's Standing Committees Are:
Executive Committee: The Executive Committee is chaired by the CMWIB Chairperson. This committee is comprised of the chairs of all standing sub-committees, the Central Massachusetts Workforce Investment Area WIA Administrator, and at least four members appointed by the CMWIB Chairperson. The Executive Committee has all of the powers of the full CMWIB except those which by law or CMWIB by-laws may not be delegated to it. Youth Workforce Investment Council: The duties of the YWIC include developing the portions of the Local Workforce Investment Plan relating to eligible youth, and recommending eligible providers of youth activities to be awarded grants or contracts on a competitive basis by the CMWIB to carry out the youth activities. The YWIC also conducts oversight with respect to the eligible providers of youth activities in the Central Massachusetts Workforce Investment Area, and coordinates youth activities authorized under Section 129 of the Workforce Investment Act in the Central Massachusetts Workforce Investment Area. Other YWIC initiatives may be determined by the members or the CMWIB Chairperson. Meetings are generally held bi-monthly.

Career Center/Adult Career Services Committee: The Career Center/Adult Career Services Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the CMWIB with respect to the One-Stop Career Centers and career services offered to adults within the Central Massachusetts Workforce Investment Area. This committee is comprised of the committee chairperson (appointed annually by the CMWIB Chairperson) and additional members as appointed by the chair. Meetings are generally held bi-monthly. Cultural Competency Advisory Committee: The Cultural Competency Advisory Committee helps to ensure that the programs and services offered through the CMWIB effectively serves the broad range of populations withing the 38 communities which make up the central Massachusetts workforce investment area. The Committee is made up of Workforce Central Career staff, CMWIB staff and members. Meetings are held on a monthly basis.
